G11 £46,142 - £49,282

An inspirational leader is sought to take forward the Council's Business & Investment Team in the County Borough. This is a key time for the Service as it looks to re-position itself to support businesses to achieve economic growth alongside the Flintshire & Wrexham Investment Zone and within the context of the County Borough's City Status and Placemaking priorities.

The Business & Investment Team provides assistance to all business sectors across the entire County Borough, this includes social enterprises, start-ups, SMEs as well as large multi-nationals.

The post will be employed and hosted by Wrexham County Borough Council, with an expectation that the successful candidate is able to work effectively in and across the County Borough area. The post will be based at Redwither Tower on the Wrexham Industrial Estate but is encouraged to adopt agile / modern methods of working to provide the optimum service to local businesses.

Developing and maintaining relationships is key to this post and the successful applicant will need to demonstrate experience of leadership and strategic thinking as well as detailed knowledge of all business sectors and the external sources of support available to them. Applications from Welsh speakers are encouraged. We actively support the development of the Welsh Language and will provide training and development as appropriate.
