A university in the UK is seeking a Business Intelligence Analyst who will be responsible for designing and delivering analytical reports to enhance decision-making processes. Candidates should have strong data analysis skills and experience using data visualisation platforms. The role includes extracting and interpreting data, collaborating with colleagues, and maintaining effective working relationships. This position offers a competitive salary and various employee benefits including generous leave.
Our Performance and Analytics (P&A) team works at the very heart of UWE Bristol. We provide a reporting, analysis and insight service covering all aspects of the student, staff and research journeys. Our reputation is founded on an ability to understand and relate to our colleges and professional services. We are fair, impartial and honest in our approach to delivering these activities. Our people are critical. Technical skills and business experience can be acquired, but P&A team members must be able to communicate, empathise and think creatively to be truly effective in their roles.
We have a fantastic opportunity for a Business Intelligence Analyst to design, build and present analytical reporting to colleagues across the University, including the Vice Chancellor’s senior management team, and all our colleges and services. We’re looking for candidates who can analyse and visualise data and communicate findings to these audiences.

Our P&A team at UWE Bristol play a big part in facilitating the achievement of the University’s strategic goals by adding value to decision making processes across the institution.
It’s difficult to describe all aspects of the job role and team culture so we’d love for you to get in touch for an informal chat. These conversations will not have any bearing on subsequent recruitment decisions, but we can hopefully fill in some of the blanks, share some insight and bring to life what it’s like to work for P&A and UWE Bristol.
We aim to design a recruitment process which is fair, informal (as far as possible!) and that honestly explores the skills and characteristics required to succeed in P&A. Our recruitment process is dynamic and interactive. It’s just as important for you to choose us as it is for us to choose you.
UWE Bristol is a campus-based University, with vibrant campus communities that are central to student life. In this role, you’ll be based at our modern Frenchay Campus where we’ve invested in state-of-the-art facilities designed to help both staff and students succeed. You’ll spend most of your time on campus, with the opportunity to work from home on the remaining days as agreed with your people manager.
We offer a wide range of employee benefits including progressive pay rates, very generous annual leave and career average pension schemes as well as retail savings, onsite nursery and opportunities for training and personal development. We particularly encourage applications from global majority candidates as we are currently under-represented in this area, however all appointments are made strictly on individual merit. As a Disability Confident employer we welcome applications from those who identify as having a disability.
