A local government authority in Birmingham is looking for a Commercial Business Information Officer to enhance housing delivery. You will manage revenue and capital budgets while presenting data for commercial meetings. The ideal candidate will possess strong financial acumen, experience in a commercial or financial field, and excellent IT skills, especially in Excel and Power BI. This role supports hybrid working and aims to provide an efficient management information service.
We are seeking a passionate and proactive Commercial Business Information Officer to support a broader team in ensuring that the Council’s investment in housing delivers strong value for money, robust financial control and high-performing contractual arrangements. Working with the Commercial Manager, you will be responsible for the continued development and provision of a comprehensive management information service to various levels of staff within the directorate.
This role sits at the heart of housing delivery, working closely with Finance, Procurement and operational teams to strengthen commercial discipline and supplier performance across the supply chain.
This role is hybrid working and you could be working from offices across the city.
You will be a confident commercial professional with strong financial acumen and rigorous attention to detail.
