Job summary

Service Care is seeking a Business Development Manager – Structural Engineering Services in Kent. You will own growth across structural engineering and construction sectors, building strategic client relationships and securing high-value projects.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years' experience in business development, sales or commercial management within engineering, construction or consultancy.
• Proven track record of securing new business and developing high-value client relationships.
• Experience selling professional services, ideally within structural engineering or civil engineering consultancy.
• Strong commercial awareness, negotiation skills and the ability to identify profitable opportunities.
• Experience leading or developing a business development team.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement business development strategies to drive revenue growth and expand market share.
• Identify and secure new business opportunities across commercial, residential, industrial, infrastructure and public sector projects.
• Build and maintain relationships with property developers, architects, main contractors, consultants and other key stakeholders.
• Identify upcoming projects, tender opportunities and potential strategic partnerships.
• Lead client meetings, presentations, commercial negotiations and proposal development.
• Manage key accounts and develop long-term relationships to generate repeat business.
• Monitor sales pipelines, revenue forecasts, conversion rates and commercial performance.
• Lead, mentor and develop the business development team, ensuring targets and objectives are achieved.
• Work closely with engineering and operational teams to ensure a smooth transition from contract award through to project delivery.
