Job summary

Mitchell Maguire Limited is seeking a Business Development Manager – Civils & Construction Materials for the Coventry/Leicester area. This hybrid role involves field sales of civil engineering products to contractors, groundworkers, developers and housebuilders.

You will generate new business while also managing ongoing accounts, with a salary of £40,000–£60,000 plus around £5,000 bonus and standard company benefits. Office-based hybrid pattern 3/2 days in the office, hours 7:30-5.

Qualifications

• Must have sales experience in aligned sector such as civils, drainage, utilities, construction products, heavyside materials and plant hire.
• Must have dealt with contractors, ground workers, civil engineering, developers and housebuilders.
• Transferable skills suitable for a field sales role.
• Experience in developing new business and managing accounts.

Responsibilities

• Field sales position selling a distributed range of civil engineering and construction products to contractors and developers.
• Time spent selling to contractors, ground workers, civil engineers, developers and housebuilders.
• Target to increase depot annual revenue; focus on new business generation with account management over time.
• Develop and maintain relationships with key customers to secure ongoing business.

Office based: Coventry or Leicester (hybrid internal position 3/2 days in the office) – working hours 7:30-5

Remuneration: £40,000 – £60,000 + circa £5,000 bonus & standard company benefits

The role of the Business Development Manager – Civils & Construction Materials will involve:

• Field sales position selling a distributed range of civil engineering, below ground, above ground civils & construction products
• All of your time will be spent selling to contractors, ground workers, civil engineering, developers and housebuilders
• Turnover target tbc however will be looking to increase the depots annual revenue
• Initially most of your time will be spent generating new business however will be given on going accounts to manage
