Job summary

KM Recruitment is seeking a Business Development Manager for Apprenticeships to drive new business across SME and Levy employers in Health and Social Care, Childcare or Business Services. The role is remote with flexibility to travel for team meetings and events, offering a 4-day week and a salary up to £32,000 plus OTE.

You will engage decision makers, promote apprenticeship programmes and manage growth targets.

Qualifications

• Experience developing new business with SME and Levy employers for Apprenticeship starts across Health and Social Care, Childcare or Business Services.
• Exceptional communication skills and the drive to succeed.
• Solid understanding of Apprenticeships funding criteria and Levy spending.
• Proven ability to generate own employer leads, negotiate, win and close new business.
• Experience working towards and achieving targets.
• Full, clean driving licence and use of a vehicle.
• Flexibility to travel as required.

Responsibilities

• Identify and engage with businesses to promote Health and Social Care Apprenticeship programmes.
• Develop new and nurture existing business relationships in a consultative manner.
• Work towards growth and revenue targets.
• Attend meetings with decision makers to discuss training and recruitment needs.
• Advise employers on Apprenticeship Levy and funding reforms.
• Design training plans to meet employer needs.
• Monitor market opportunities and competitor activity.
• Report sales data and forecasts regularly and meet month-end deadlines.
• Cross-sell other products to provide a well-rounded service.

Salary: up to £32,000 + OTE (Take home salary, not pro rata!)
Type: 4 DAY WEEK, Permanent - full-time salary for a 4-day week (compressed hours)
Essential Criteria:

• The successful Business Development Manager will have proven experience of developing new business with SME s and Levy employers for Apprenticeship starts across one, or more of the following vocations: Health and Social Care / Childcare / Business Services.
• Strong CV that shows longevity as a BDM within the apprenticeship / skills arena
• Exceptional communication skills, with the desire and drive to succeed.
• Strong understanding of Apprenticeships funding criteria and Levy spending.
• Proven experience of generating own employer leads, negotiating / winning, and closing new business.
• Experience of working towards and achieving targets.
• Full, clean driving licence and use of a vehicle.
• Must be flexible with travel (as and when required)

The Role:

• Proactively identify and engage with businesses, to promote our client's offering of Health and Social Care Apprenticeship programmes.
• Working in a consultative way, to create new business and develop existing business relationships.
• Working towards and achieving targets linked to growth and revenue.
• Attend meetings with decision makers to discuss their training and recruitment needs.
• Give advice and support to employers regarding the Apprenticeship Levy and future funding reforms.
• Undertake Organisational Needs Analysis and design / develop training plans to meet employer s needs.
• Keep up to date with competitor s strengths and weaknesses, evaluating the market and scoping out new opportunities.
• Report sales data and forecasts on a regular basis and meet month end sales deadlines.
• Cross sell other products, seizing all opportunities to offer clients a well-rounded service.
