Job summary

Executive Integrity is assisting a specialist marine technology business in its search for a Business Development Manager focused on marine technology and decarbonisation. Location: North West England or London, hybrid, with regular travel between regions.

You will own commercial relationships across global gas carrier markets, win credibility with owners and shipyards, and translate emissions and gas handling expertise into tangible commercial wins, with room to grow into senior leadership.

Qualifications

• Engineer, marine, or closely adjacent background with ability to read drawings.
• Knowledge of emissions legislation and ability to apply credibility in sales.
• Experience managing long, complex sales cycles with owners and yards.

The Opportunity

A specialist marine technology business at the centre of the industry's decarbonisation push needs a commercial leader for one of its most technically demanding sales seats. Its previous specialist was headhunted away after building real credibility with owners and shipyards alike, proof of how scarce this skill set is. Seniority will flex around whoever is found.

The Impact You Will Have

• Own commercial relationships across a global gas carrier market, working owners and shipyards to secure a place on maker's lists.
• Step into a business-critical gap left by a departing commercial lead, with room to build pipeline from day one.
• A genuine route to a senior leadership seat, shaped around the calibre of person appointed.
• Turn technical understanding of emissions and gas handling systems into commercial wins.

What Success Looks Like

• An engineer, marine or closely adjacent, who can read a drawing and hold their own on emissions legislation, then sell on that credibility.
• Comfortable running long, complex sales cycles, twelve to twenty four months, across multiple stakeholders.
• Able to win trust on both sides of a sale, owner and yard, in a relationship led market.
• Keen to put engineering experience towards decarbonisation, not another industrial sales seat.
