Job description

A bit about this role

As a Business Development Manager, your core focus will be to identify, target, and win new independent foodservice customers across London (within the M25). This is a pure new-business role — ideal for someone who thrives on hunting for opportunities and building relationships from the ground up.

You'll use your deep knowledge of meat products — from cuts and sourcing to spec and pricing — to build trust and deliver tailored, commercially viable solutions that meet your customers’ full menu and business needs. Collaboration is key; you'll work with our production, technical, and logistics teams to ensure a seamless customer journey from pitch to plate.

This is a high-profile opportunity in a competitive, fast-moving territory — and the rewards reflect that.

You’ll have

  • 2 – 5 years in the meat industry
  • Strong understanding of meat species - cuts, specs, sourcing, pricing, and customer requirements
  • A proven track record of winning and developing new business – especially in the independent sector
  • Ability to sell on value, not just price – you understand how to present quality, service, and reliability as part of your pitch
  • Confident communicator and negotiator, able to build rapport with chefs, owners, and buyers alike
  • Knowledge of the London hospitality market (inside the M25)
  • Commercially aware, target-driven, and hungry for results
  • Full UK driving licence preferred and flexibility to cover the London region
  • Proficient in Excel with the ability to compose clear and professional emails
