Team Jobs - Executive is seeking a remote-based Business Development Manager with a hunter mindset to drive new business in the paint and coatings sector across Automotive Refinishing/Industrial/Wood Coatings. The role is remote with occasional trips to the Portsmouth area when suitable.

The successful candidate will build a strong sales pipeline, identify opportunities, meet clients remotely or in person, and hand over accounts after an initial 3 months.

Qualifications

• Hunter mindset and proactive sales approach.
• Experience in new business development or BDM roles.
• Industry knowledge in paints/coatings (Automotive Refinishing/Industrial/Wood Coatings).

Responsibilities

• Identify new business opportunities and growth areas.
• Develop and maintain an active sales pipeline.
• Meet clients face to face, by phone or video; travel when needed.
• Record visits and hand over new accounts after an initial 3-month period.
• Maintain strong relationships and capture market/competitor insights.

My client is a leading supplier of professional coating products and services looking for an additional experienced remote based BDM to join the team.

You will be a successful new business sales professional - with a true HUNTER approach with professional paint/coating industry experience (Automotive Refinishing/Industrial/Wood Coatings/Light Industrial/refinishing industry).

This is a remote opportunity - with trips to HO near Portsmouth when suits.

45,000 to 50,000 + DOE + OTE 80,000 + uncapped + company car and expenses

Role Responsibilities

• Identify new business opportunities - including new markets, growth areas, trends, customers, products and services.
• Establish new business through an active sales pipeline process, recorded in SharePoint.
• Implementing new business in line with business group strategy.
• Seek out the appropriate contact in an organisation.
• Meet with customers/clients face to face, over the phone or video call.
• Record all visits using the current reporting programme.
• Developing and maintaining strong business relationships both internally and externally.
• Identifying key areas for development from a customer and portfolio perspective.
• Maintain a customer data base for mailshot campaigns via head office.
• Capture and feedback competitor and general market information.
• Handover new accounts to the region following a 3-month period of initial account development.
