A leading company in the business sector seeks a Business Development Manager in Glasgow. The role focuses on developing new business opportunities, managing existing relationships, and participating in industry events to enhance brand visibility. Ideal candidates will possess an MBA and demonstrate strong networking and analytical skills.
The Business Development Manager is responsible for seeking and developing new business opportunities and securing renewal of existing contracts. He/she is expected to develop strong customer relationships and grow the brand of the company.
Duties and Responsibilities
· Seek out new business and revenue opportunities through business and market analyses both locally and regionally
· Develop, steer and manage new business opportunity pipeline
· Identify and engage with potential partners, relevant authorities, industry stakeholders and key decision makers to deliver on new business opportunities
· Monitors competition by gathering market intelligence and trends, and recommending changes in positioning, services, and pricing strategies
· Cultivate, engage and manage existing customer accounts to secure contract renewals
· Organise and participate in industry networking events and customer engagement activities to increase brand value and awareness and build customer preference
· Work cross-organisationally and coordinate among commercial, operations and support functions to drive successful service delivery, solutions and outcomes for customers
· Build up marketing, branding and communication tools to increase saliency and visibility of company; ensure consistent communications and brand image to the public and various business stakeholders
