Job description

Our client based in Shrewsbury is looking to appoint an experienced Business Development Executiveto join their established and busy team.

The central aim will be to introduce more high value cases, and to particularly sell the firm’s expertise in catastrophic brain injury, amputation and spinal injuries.

Maintaining the existing relationships the firm has with local charities and support groups, as well as spotting opportunities to develop new connections.

Working with the marketing team in order to plan and organise regular networking events, as well as a large scale national conference on a bi-annual basis.

This role would suit someone with medical experience, or someone who has worked in the charity or healthcare sector, where they have experience in dealing with those affected by injury or serious illness.

The ideal candidate will be bright, enthusiastic, have empathy and be able to command respect from the teams, as well as from those within external organisations.

Skills

  • Essential qualities for the position are excellent communication and networking skills; the ability to multitask; good organisational and time management skills; the confidence to liaise with others – particularly those in senior positions; high attention to detail and accuracy, plus the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Competency using Microsoft Excel/Word is essential, together with a high level of numeracy. Experience in using Microsoft Dynamics would be advantageous.
  • You will be responsible for aspects of administration.
  • You would be expected to develop and improve your skills by participating in training courses and by your own self development.
  • Due to the nature of the role you must have a full UK driving licence and transport.

This is a full-time permanent position based from Shrewsbury but you would be required to visit other offices in the region when required.
