Role Overview

Campari Group is looking for a Business Development Executive (BDE) to join the Commercial team based in various areas across the UK. This is a 6-month contract from May to September, and includes a paid lunch.

The Business Development Executive is responsible for the consumer’s experience and interaction with our brands in the Independent Free Trade (IFT) and will oversee brand distribution, menu features, commercial deals, and activation in IFT. This dynamic, fast-moving position requires flexibility to work in different parts of the country, with adequate time and planning provided. The role seeks new business distribution opportunities and involves delivering spritz training programs to bar owners and tenders.

The successful candidate will report to the Field Sales Manager for the area and will have an assigned mentor from the current team.

Key Responsibilities and Activities

  • Achieve new listings and target Rate of Sale for Campari UK brands in independent free trade accounts, such as bars and restaurants.
  • Implement promotional activities and incentives to deliver results.
  • Maintain an updated database of information on the portfolio of independent on-trade accounts on the CRM system.
  • Provide feedback on competitor activities and market trends in the independent style bar sector and in target on-trade accounts.
  • Conduct training sessions in on-trade accounts for the company’s focus brands.
  • Complete all necessary administrative requirements, including weekly journey plans, monthly reports, customer contact reports, and other reports requested by the Field Sales Executive in real time.
  • Adapt to market and company requirements and be flexible to change territory when requested for a limited period of time.

Reporting Lines:

  • Reports to the Field Sales Manager

Other Internal Relationships:

  • Wider Independent Free Trade team including Business Development Managers
  • Customer Marketing – Field Activation managers
  • Route to Market team for volume requirements and forecasting purposes
  • Regional Brand Ambassadors

External Relationships:

  • Customers such as bar owners, bar managers, operation managers
  • Route to Market representatives
  • Third-party suppliers to collaborate on joint deals
