I am currently looking for a Business Development Director for a global full-service clinical Contract Research Organization with a strong reputation, stable client base, and a track record of year-on-year growth. This is a newly created, exciting role working with a high-performance, collaborative, and supportive team. The role is remote, focusing on the UK/western European territory, and involves securing new business and managing accounts within pharma, biotech, and medical device sectors across various therapeutic areas including oncology, CNS, renal, and rare diseases.

Key responsibilities include:

• Achieving sales and business development targets
• Developing and implementing strategies for target markets
• Prospecting and building a pipeline of sales opportunities and RFPs
• Using Salesforce to track client activities and opportunities
• Leading the sales process and proposal development
• Redefining market niches based on evidence
• Providing input to marketing strategies
• Contributing to sales targets and plans
• Supporting pre-sales activities and engaging with agents and consultants
• Attending conferences and trade shows to generate opportunities
