Job summary

EVRi International in Newcastle is seeking a Bulk Driver to join our UK parcel network. You will operate a modern Volvo tractor unit, complete pre-trip checks and ensure timely delivery with 4–6 daily stops, while maintaining safety standards and regulatory compliance.

Shifts run Monday to Friday, 9 hours per day, roughly 7/8am starts, with a 45-hour week and a strong focus on work-life balance. Enjoy benefits including generous annual leave and career progression.

Qualifications

• Class 1 driving licence required.
• Driver CPC qualification card required.
• DCPC training hours completed or in progress.
• Strong knowledge of road transport laws and safe driving.

Responsibilities

• Drive a lorry from our Volvo fleet and conduct pre-trip checks.
• Plan routes with 4–6 stops per shift and complete deliveries on time.
• Inspect vehicle and trailer daily; complete Defect Report if needed.
• Load/unload at sites when required and operate pallet trucks or scanners.

WhatYou’llDo:

You will drive a lorry from our exceptional fleet of Volvo vehicles, all less than 4 years old.They’rea joy to drive, and are equipped to a high specification, including fridges, leatherseatsand many more optional extras to make sureyou’recomfortable.

Most of our sites run from Monday to Friday, with 45 hour working weeks, and 9-hour shifts per day which typically start at 7/8am. Our well-organised shift schedules mean you often know in advance whereyou’llbe driving, taking the stress out of your day.

Key Role Responsibilities

Wedon’tmicromanage our drivers. We trust them to get the job done and plan their own routes. The average number of stops in a shift is 4 to 6, sothere’splenty of time to enjoy being out on the open road - butyou’llstill be home again at the end of every 9-hour shift.

You’llmake sure Cages, Pallets, Freight, Stillages and Yorks get to and from customers bang on time. At some sites, the goods will be loaded or unloaded for you - at others,you’llneed to do it yourself. Scanning consignments and driving pallet trucks will sometimes be part of your day.

You’llbe responsible forinspecting your vehicle and trailer every day and complete a Defect Report if necessary.
