Evri is hiring an HGV Class 1 Driver for bulk deliveries in the East Midlands. You’ll operate a modern Volvo lorry, enjoy a well-structured schedule and 9-hour shifts with 4–6 stops per day, while staying compliant with road transport laws.

Qualifications

• Class 1 Driving licence
• Driver CPC qualification card
• Completed required DCPC training hours or be working towards them
• Excellent knowledge of Road Transport Laws - and commitment to safe use of the roads

Responsabilités

• Drive a lorry from our fleet of Volvo vehicles and stay comfortable with high-spec features on board.
• Plan routes with minimal downtime; shifts are typically 9 hours with 4–6 stops, home each day.
• Inspect vehicle and trailer daily and complete a Defect Report if necessary.
• Scan consignments, handle pallets or pallet trucks as required, and ensure timely delivery to customers.

WhatYou’llDo:

You will drive a lorry from our exceptional fleet of Volvo vehicles, all less than 4 years old.They’rea joy to drive, and are equipped to a high specification, including fridges, leatherseatsand many more optional extras to make sureyou’recomfortable.

Most of our sites run from Monday to Friday, with 45 hour working weeks, and 9-hour shifts per day which typicaly start at 7/8am. Our well-organised shift schedules mean you often know in advance whereyou’llbe driving, taking the stress out of your day.

Key Role Responsibilities

Wedon’tmicromanage our drivers. We trust them to get the job done and plan their own routes. The average number of stops in a shift is 4 to 6, sothere’splenty of time to enjoy being out on the open road - butyou’llstill be home again at the end of every 9-hour shift.

You’llmake sure Cages, Pallets, Freight, Stillages and Yorks get to and from customers bang on time. At some sites, the goods will be loaded or unloaded for you - at others,you’llneed to do it yourself. Scanning consignments and driving pallet trucks will sometimes be part of your day.

You’llbe responsible forinspecting your vehicle and trailer every day and complete a Defect Report if necessary.
