J&T Business Consulting is seeking a Building Surveyor/Surveying Services Specialist to manage a diverse caseload of surveying instructions with a focus on technical excellence and client service. The role covers defect diagnosis surveys, costed schedules of works, and overseeing repair projects for a growing private client portfolio alongside insurance-related work.

You will apply rigorous professional standards, maintain high-quality delivery, and operate within JCT contracts while embracing

Qualifications

• Excellent knowledge of surveying principles and practices.
• MRICS/FRICS or MCIOB qualification (or working towards).
• Regulatory knowledge of CDM regulations and related standards.
• Hands-on experience with JCT contracts, variations, payments, and dispute resolution.
• Outstanding communication, negotiation, and report-writing skills.
• High IT competency with surveying software and case management systems.

Responsibilities

• Technical quality & delivery across all instructions.
• Administer JCT contracts, variations, payment certificates, and milestones.
• Provide exceptional customer service to loss adjusters, insurers, and private clients.
• Share knowledge and contribute to process improvements as a team member.
• Promote Treating Customers Fairly (TCF) and uphold RICS ethical standards.
• Ensure adherence to SLAs and KPIs.
