Job summary

Portico is seeking a Building Manager to lead day-to-day operations of a prestigious commercial property, delivering an exceptional experience for tenants and visitors. You will supervise front of house, reception, lounges and rooftop facilities, ensuring safety, operation, and upkeep to the highest standard.

You will drive service delivery, manage security and access procedures, act as Fire Warden and First Aider, and produce regular reports. Travel to regional locations may be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 12 months' experience in a supervisory or management role within a customer service environment.
• Proven ability to lead, motivate and develop individuals or teams to meet standards.
• Excellent communication with stakeholders in person and over the phone.
• Strong customer service focus and relationship-building.
• Proactive, solutions-focused approach with ownership of issues.
• Organised with good problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Experience driving change and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Attention to detail and maintaining high workplace standards.
• Able to communicate effectively at all levels and appear professional.
• Willingness to travel to regional locations for training and deployments.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a warm, professional welcome and oversee front of house operations.
• Manage reception, lounge and rooftop facilities ensuring safety and upkeep.
• Coordinate mail, deliveries, visitor access, and security credentials.
• Act as Fire Warden and First Aider; liaise with Fire Marshals and services.
• Lead service delivery, resolve issues and document/escalate as needed.
• Produce monthly and ad hoc service performance reports.
• Support tenant engagement initiatives and manage budgets.
• Ensure Health & Safety compliance and monitor CCTV as required.
• Plan workloads and build strong relationships with tenants and contractors.
• Set an example of professionalism and represent Portico positively.
