Job description

Building Engineer needed in Haverigg, Paying £12.99ph – Reference: 447347

Monday – Friday 8am-5pm and Friday 8am-4pm

1. Customer liaison – Be the day-to-day contact for site-based staff at customer premises. Check understanding of task status, identify problems, and opportunities for further work. Ensure that other staff/contractors under Amey control operate correctly.
2. Reactive response – Provide the first response to reactive calls for premises. Assist with tasks outside the engineer's skill set, acting as a liaison for other resources.
3. On-site resource – For sufficiently scaled premises, the engineer may be based on-site and attend other sites as needed.
4. Routine PPMs – Perform routine Planned Preventative Maintenance tasks within competency and workload.
5. Asset verification – Ensure asset listings are up-to-date and report inconsistencies or changes.
6. Logbooks – Keep site logbooks current and accurately completed.
7. Dilapidation reports – Identify additional works and assess plant condition for asset management.
8. Lifecycle management – Monitor asset condition and maintenance approaches.

This is a full-time role on a temporary contract basis.
