Job summary

Nottingham City Council is recruiting a Building Control Officer to assess applications, carry out site inspections, and provide professional advice to customers and stakeholders across Nottingham. You will work with an experienced team to ensure buildings are safe and compliant with Building Regulations.

The role offers opportunities for development and training within the Building Control Service, with a mobile working pattern requiring attendance at least one day per week at the office.

Qualifications

• Registered Building Inspector capability at Class 2A level or working towards 2A registration
• Strong communication skills to explain technical matters clearly
• Commitment to excellent customer service and development of Building Control services
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to conduct site inspections
