Job summary

West Northamptonshire Council is seeking a Building Control Officer to inspect sites, vet plans for compliance with Building Regulations, and supervise building work. The role supports delivering an excellent building control service to customers.

The post requires registration as a Building Inspector Class 2A or 2A/2C, and offers a remote-working arrangement with occasional monthly office attendance.

To work for West Northamptonshire Council as a Building control officer

To assist with the site inspection, plan vetting/approval and supervision of building work, which relates to the Building Regulations and allied legislation and to provide a professional Building Control service.

To ensure that WNC Building Control is recognised as delivering an excellent service for all our customers.

MUST - Registered Building Inspector Class 2A or 2A/2C

£60-70per hour 37 hours per week Surveyor will work remotely but may be asked on occasions (once a month) to come into office
