Job summary

Axcis Education in London is seeking a fluent BSL user to support pupils within a Hearing Impairment unit at a primary school in NW9. The role involves supporting pupils’ communication, learning and engagement throughout the school day, working closely with teachers and the SEND team.

This full-time position offers an opportunity to make a difference for children with hearing impairments; you will be part of a supportive school community and required to complete DBS and safeguarding checks.

Qualifications

• Fluent in BSL and able to support communication.
• Experience working with children in HI/SEND settings.
• Patient, nurturing and confident helping communication and learning.
• Able to work effectively as part of a school team.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils’ communication, learning and engagement throughout the school day.
• Work closely with teachers and the wider SEND team to support learning.
• Assist with classroom activities and transitions as needed.
