Job summary

Axcis Education in London is seeking a fluent BSL user to support pupils within a Hearing Impairment unit at a primary school in NW9. The role involves supporting pupils’ communication, learning and engagement throughout the school day, working closely with teachers and the SEND team.

This full-time position offers an opportunity to make a difference for children with hearing impairments; you will be part of a supportive school community and required to complete DBS and safeguarding checks.

Qualifications

We are looking for a fluent BSL user to support pupils within a Hearing Impairment (HI) unit at a primary school in NW9. The role involves supporting pupils’ communication, learning and engagement throughout the school day, working closely with teachers and the wider SEND team.

Ideal Candidate

• Fluent in British Sign Language (BSL)
• Experience working with children, ideally within an HI/SEND setting
• Patient, nurturing and confident supporting communication and learning
• Able to work effectively as part of a school team

Location: NW9

Setting: Primary School – Hearing Impairment Unit

Contract: Full-Time / Monday - Friday 8:30-4pm
