Job summary

A recruitment company in the insurance sector is seeking a Junior Broker Assistant to start their career in a Broking environment. The ideal candidate should be a recent graduate or school leaver with a minimum of 3 A-Levels, possess excellent communication skills, and have an understanding of insurance. The role involves supporting Brokers with client and underwriter relationships and various administrative duties. Full training and development will be provided.

Overview

Lawes is partnering with a Lloyds Broker to recruit a Junior Broker Assistant within their London office. This is an exciting opportunity for a recent Graduate or School/ College Leaver (or equivalent) looking to start their career in insurance within a Broking environment. The successful candidate will support the Brokers with managing their client and underwriter relationships and handling a variety of administrative duties. Full training and development will be provided.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for dealing with incoming calls and emails.
  • Assisting Brokers with all technical duties
  • Enter and analyse data
  • Liaising with Clients and Underwriters as needed
  • Gain full training to handle broking to Underwriters
  • Prepare and issue insurance documents
  • Assist in management of Binders and processing documentation in line with them
  • Ad-hoc duties as needed
Experience and Requirements
  • Minimum of 3 A-Levels grades C or above (or equivalent)
  • An understanding of Insurance and a desire to continue to learn
  • Excellent communication skills as well as being a strong team player
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively
