Job summary

Computacenter Bristol is seeking a Desktop Support Engineer to deliver hands-on technical support across a busy environment. This onsite role covers incident handling, request fulfilment and ensuring high-quality user experiences in a fast-paced setting.

You will operate as 2nd line escalation, resolve issues to SLA, and support project tasks while coordinating with Level 3 teams. A UK driving license and SC clearance or eligibility are essential to proceed.

Qualifications

• Deep knowledge of Windows 10/11, Office applications, and IT support best practices.
• Experience with LTSC Channels and KIOSK is desirable.
• Basic understanding of SCCM/Active Directory and ITSM concepts.
• Networking knowledge including LAN/WAN/VLAN, Wi‑Fi, DHCP, DNS, VPN.
• Experience with Exchange environment and Outlook.
• Able to communicate with customers and work across shifts.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• SC Cleared or eligible for SC Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Handle incidents and service requests.
• 2nd line responsibility for resolving incidents to SLA.
• Maintain target of <2% incidents per month.
• Complete assigned tasks within deadlines.
• Support Project Tasks with internal and external Project Managers.
• Tackle Non-Standard Requests within agreed timescales.
• Coordinate with Level 3 teams for major issues.
• Resolve technical issues for laptops, desktops, networks, printers.
• Install and configure software and hardware.
