Job summary

Plumb Centre, part of the Wolseley Group, seeks a Branch Supervisor in Gainsborough to support daily branch operations and lead the team.

You will supervise staff, assist customers on the trade counter, manage goods in and out, and help maintain branch performance during a 40-hour week Mon-Fri with Saturday on rota. Competitive salary with bonus and benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience in a branch or merchant environment is preferable.
• Face-to-face customer service or sales experience is essential.
• Excellent communication skills and confidence with customers.
• Team player who can cover diverse branch duties.
• Willingness to step in for Branch Manager when required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Branch Manager with day-to-day operations.
• Supervise and support branch staff, provide training and feedback.
• Serve customers on the trade counter with product knowledge.
• Engage with customers to maximise sales and build relationships.
• Build rapport with customers and suppliers and handle queries.
• Carry out general warehouse duties: goods in/out, picking, packing.
• Be prepared to lead the branch in the Branch Manager's absence.

Job description

• Assisting the Branch Manager with the day to day running and operations within this small branch.
• Supervise and support branch staff, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
• Serving customers on the trade counter, offering advice and product knowledge.
• Proactively engaging with both new and existing customers to maximise sales opportunities and build strong customer relationships
• Building rapport with customers & suppliers, responding to any queries and processing sales.
• General warehouse duties including, goods in & out, picking and packing customer orders. As a Branch Supervisor based in Gainsborough you'll be responsible for, Previous industry or merchant experience is preferable
• Prior experience in a Face to Face customer service/sales environment
• Excellent communication skills and confidence interacting with customers
• To be a team player who is happy to take on a diverse role to carry out all jobs in the branch to ensure it runs smoothly
• Willingness to step up to run the branch in the Branch Managers absence
