Job summary

Scrivens Opticians & Hearing Care in Greater London is seeking an Assistant Branch Manager to support the Branch Manager in leading a dedicated team to deliver exceptional customer service and drive branch performance. You will role model high standards of clinical care and sales excellence.

You will assist in daily operations, motivate the team to achieve optical and hearing product sales, manage stock and merchandising, and help coordinate local promotional campaigns.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail or healthcare, ideally optical or audiology.
• Strong background in customer service and sales.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to lead, motivate and support a team.
• Organised, reliable and able to work under pressure.
• Basic IT skills and familiarity with point-of-sale systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing daily branch operations.
• Motivate the team to hit sales targets for optical and hearing products and services.
• Provide outstanding customer service with professionalism and empathy.
• Assist in staff training, coaching and performance management.
• Manage stock levels, merchandising and branch presentation to standards.
• Coordinate local marketing initiatives and promotions.
• Step in as acting Branch Manager when required, including opening/closing the branch.
