Job summary

LKQ Europe in Guildford is seeking an experienced Duty Manager to join our branch leadership team. You will lead the day-to-day operation across retail, warehouse and fleet, coach and develop colleagues, and drive exceptional customer service while delivering operational excellence.

You will report to the Branch Manager and collaborate with other Duty Managers to optimise stock, processes and performance, creating a safe, inclusive and high-performing workplace.

Qualifications

• Strong leadership experience in retail, warehouse, logistics or distribution.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
• Experience managing KPIs and operational performance.
• Customer-focused mindset with drive to deliver outstanding service.
• Knowledge of stock control and operational processes.
• Strong commercial awareness and ability to influence business performance.
• Confident with operational systems and reporting tools.
• Flexible and able to perform under pressure.
• Experience with fleet operations, inventory management or P&L responsibility would be advantageous but isn’t essential.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day branch operation across retail, warehouse and fleet.
• Coordinate resources for smooth, efficient operations and customer service.
• Drive operational excellence by upholding standards and policies.
• Manage stock, inventory control and stock takes.
• Ensure pick-to-manifest targets and customer service SLAs.
• Oversee returns, warranties and reverse logistics.
• Support Click & Collect and delivery operations.
• Ensure fleet compliance and vehicle readiness.
• Coach, motivate and develop colleagues.
• Assist with recruitment, onboarding and succession planning.
• Create an inclusive customer-focused culture.
• Build a flexible, multi-skilled team.
