Job summary

LKQ is seeking a Duty Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of a busy branch across retail, warehouse and fleet, reporting to the Branch Manager.

You will coach a high-performing team, drive safety, service and efficiency, and work with sales and operations to maximise customer outcomes.

This role offers a varied leadership path and opportunities to develop across the UK & Europe.

Qualifications

• Previous supervisory or management experience within retail, warehouse, logistics or distribution.
• A full UK driving licence.
• Experience leading, coaching and developing teams.
• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
• Experience managing KPIs and operational performance.
• A customer-focused mindset with a drive to deliver outstanding service.
• Good knowledge of stock control and operational processes.
• Strong commercial awareness and the ability to influence business performance.
• Confidence working with operational systems and reporting tools.
• A flexible approach and the ability to perform under pressure.
• Experience with fleet operations, inventory management or P&L responsibility would be advantageous but isn't essential.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day branch operations across retail, warehouse and fleet.
• Coordinate resources for smooth, efficient operations and top customer service.
• Drive operational excellence through policies and standards.
• Manage stock accuracy, inventory control and stock takes.
• Ensure pick-to-manifest targets and customer service SLAs.
• Oversee returns, warranties and reverse logistics.
• Support Click & Collect and delivery operations.
• Ensure fleet compliance and vehicle readiness.
• Coach, motivate and develop colleagues across operations.
• Conduct daily team briefings and performance conversations.
• Support recruitment, onboarding and succession planning.
• Create an inclusive, customer-focused culture.
• Maintain branch presentation and overall performance.
