Wolseley UK Limited, operating as Plumb Centre in Havant, seeks a Branch Supervisor to support the Branch Manager and lead daily branch operations. You will supervise staff, assist customers at the trade counter, and work to expand the customer base and profits.

The role is full-time with a 40-hour week, including Saturday rota. Previous supervisory experience in a trade environment is essential and a proactive, customer-focused approach is required.

Qualifications

• Previous industry or merchant experience is preferable.
• Prior experience as a Supervisor within a Face-to-Face sales environment is essential.
• Willingness to step up to run the branch in the Branch Manager's absence.
• Someone who is comfortable making outbound sales calls to customers to gain new business.

Responsibilities

• Assisting the Branch Manager with day-to-day running and operations within the branch and take charge when they are not available.
• Supervising and supporting colleagues, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback to achieve targets and goals.
• Serving customers on the trade counter, offering advice and product knowledge.
• Developing the customer base, improving retention, satisfaction, product mix, and range.
• Identifying and recommending ways to improve profits.
• Building rapport with suppliers.
• General warehouse duties including goods in & out, picking and packing customer orders (heavy stock handling).
• Ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
