Plumb Centre, part of the Wolseley Group, is seeking a Branch Supervisor for Havant. You will support the Branch Manager, supervise staff, and drive customer service and sales on the trade counter while coordinating warehouse duties. The role offers a 40-hour week with a Monday to Friday schedule and Saturday rota.

Qualifications

• Previous industry or merchant experience is preferable.
• Prior experience as a Supervisor within a Face-to-Face sales environment is essential.
• Willingness to step up to run the branch in the Branch Manager's absence.
• Able to make outbound sales calls to gain new business.
• Be a team player, willing to perform diverse branch tasks to keep operations smooth.
• Positive, proactive attitude and strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Branch Manager with day-to-day running and operations.
• Supervise and train colleagues; provide guidance and feedback to hit targets.
• Serve customers on the trade counter with advice and product knowledge.
• Develop the customer base and improve retention and mix.
• Identify opportunities to improve profits and supplier rapport.
• Handle general warehouse duties: goods in/out, picking/packing heavy stock.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
