Job summary

Caroline Cares For You in Brackley, Northamptonshire, is seeking an exceptional Branch Manager to drive a domiciliary and live-in care service back to Outstanding. You will lead a busy branch, support staff and implement governance and quality improvements.

Reporting to the senior leadership, you will ensure safe staffing, conduct audits and build strong relationships with clients and commissioners. A proven track record in CQC-regulated services and strong leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• Significant management experience within a CQC-regulated domiciliary service.
• Proven track record of improving service quality and compliance.
• Experience managing services through CQC inspections and action plans.
• Excellent knowledge of CQC Fundamental Standards and regulatory requirements.
• Outstanding leadership and people management skills.
• Experience managing both visiting care and/or live-in care services.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day operational management of a busy domiciliary and live-in care service delivering ~500 care hours per week.
• Work collaboratively with senior management to implement and embed our CQC improvement action plan.
• Drive improvements in quality, governance, compliance and operational performance.
• Coach, mentor and develop the branch team to build confidence, accountability and a culture of continuous improvement.
• Ensure safe staffing, effective rota management and excellent continuity of care.
• Complete audits, spot checks, care reviews and quality monitoring activities, ensuring actions are completed promptly.
• Build positive relationships with clients, families, local professionals and commissioners.
• Ensure compliance with CQC Regulations, safeguarding legislation and company policies.
• Support recruitment, induction, supervision and performance management of staff.
• Prepare the branch for future regulatory engagement by embedding robust governance processes and best practice.

About You

We’re looking for someone who has:

Essential

• Significant management experience within a CQC-regulated domiciliary care service.
• A strong track record of successfully improving service quality and compliance.
• Experience managing services through CQC inspections and implementing action plans.
• Excellent knowledge of CQC Fundamental Standards and regulatory requirements.
• Outstanding leadership and people management skills.
• Experience managing both visiting care and/or live-in care services.
• Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.

Desirable

• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health & Social Care (or equivalent).
• Experience supporting services to achieve Good or Outstanding CQC ratings.
• Knowledge of electronic care planning and rostering systems.
