Job summary

Nationwide in Stroud is hiring a Customer Representative on a 28-hour-per-week, 12-month fixed-term contract. You will assist customers in-branch, over the phone and online, guiding them through everyday transactions and banking services with care and clarity.

You’ll join a branch team focused on fairer finances and excellent service. Prior customer service experience helps, but a positive attitude, digital confidence and teamwork are essential to succeed in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service or frontline advisory roles is preferred.
• Excellent communication and active listening skills are essential.
• Comfort with using digital tools and explaining them to customers.

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers into the branch and understand their needs to provide trusted help.
• Handle transactions and queries accurately while safeguarding customer security.
• Guide customers through banking products and services that fit their needs.
• Collaborate with branch colleagues to deliver high-quality service, even at peak times.
• Follow processes, spot issues, and escalate when needed to protect customers and Nationwide.
• Help keep face-to-face banking meaningful and accessible on the high street.
