Job summary

Nationwide is seeking a Customer Representative in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire. You will support customers in branch, by phone and online, handling everyday transactions and queries while guiding them to suitable banking products and digital tools.

This permanent, full-time role requires a 35-hour week, Monday to Saturday, with a 45-minute commute considered. You’ll join a branch that serves local communities and values customer-first service, data privacy and fair banking.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service environment is beneficial.
• Patience, empathy and strong people skills.
• Comfort with using technology and digital services.

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers into the branch and understand their needs to offer trusted help with banking.
• Handle transactions and queries accurately while prioritising security and fairness.
• Guide customers through banking products and services to help manage money confidently.
• Collaborate with colleagues in a busy branch to deliver excellent service, even at peak times.
• Follow processes, identify issues, and escalate concerns to protect customers and Nationwide.
