Job summary

Nationwide in Totton, Hampshire is seeking a Customer Representative for a permanent part-time role (24 hours per week, Mon–Sat). You’ll welcome customers in branch, over the phone and online, handling everyday transactions with care.

You don’t need banking experience; customer service background is fine. We value empathy, clear communication and teamwork, with three weeks of training and no holidays during that period.

Qualifications

• You don’t need banking experience, but customer service background is helpful.
• You should be able to show how you help customers feel confident, supported and listened to.
• You stay calm under pressure and work well in a busy branch environment.

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers into the branch and understand their needs with friendly help.
• Handle transactions and queries accurately while prioritising security and fairness.
• Guide customers through banking products and services that fit their needs.
• Work with colleagues to deliver excellent service, even at peak times.
• Take ownership to follow processes and escalate concerns when needed.
