Nationwide in Basildon is seeking a Customer Representative to support customers in person, over the phone and online. This 12-month Fixed Term Contract role is part-time (18.5 hours/week) on a Basildon branch, with a 45-minute commute requirement and pro-rata salary for part-time work.

The role focuses on delivering great customer experiences, guidance on banking products, and supporting customers across branches and digital channels.

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers into the branch and understand their needs, offering trusted, friendly help with banking.
• Handle a range of transactions and queries accurately while prioritising safety and fairness.
• Guide customers through banking products and services to manage money confidently.
• Collaborate with colleagues to deliver excellent service even at peak times.
• Follow processes and escalate concerns to protect customers and Nationwide.
• Keep face-to-face banking meaningful and accessible on the high street.
