Job summary

Nationwide Building Society's Grays branch is seeking a Customer Representative to assist customers in-branch, over the phone and online, delivering friendly, knowledgeable service across everyday banking moments. This is a 12-month fixed-term contract, part-time at 31 hours per week, Monday to Saturday.

The branch is multi-skilled and closed to the public on Tuesdays and Thursdays, with phone support on those days. No two days are the same and you'll be supported to put customers first.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service or a passion for helping customers.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Comfort with using technology and digital tools.

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers into the branch and understand their needs to offer friendly help.
• Handle a range of transactions and queries accurately with focus on security and fairness.
• Guide customers through banking products and services to help manage their money confidently.
• Collaborate with branch colleagues to deliver excellent customer service, even at peak times.
• Follow processes, spot issues, and escalate concerns to protect customers and Nationwide.
