Nationwide is hiring a Customer Representative for our Birchington branch. You’ll assist customers in person, over the phone, and online, guiding everyday banking and digital tools with care and confidence.

The role is part-time, with a pro-rata salary, and involves a 17.5-hour week, Monday to Saturday, including phone-based support on closure days. You’ll join a branch-focused team committed to fairer finances, community presence, and exceptional customer experiences.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service is preferred but not required.
• Strong communication and listening skills to understand customer needs.
• Comfortable using digital tools to assist customers and complete transactions.

Responsabilités

• Welcome customers into the branch and understand their needs to offer trusted help with banking.
• Handle a range of transactions and queries accurately while prioritizing security and fairness.
• Guide customers to banking products and services that fit their needs.
• Collaborate with colleagues to deliver excellent service, even at peak times.
• Follow processes, spot issues, and escalate concerns to protect customers and Nationwide.
• Keep face-to-face banking meaningful and accessible on the high street.
