Job summary

Nationwide is hiring a Customer Representative for our Salford branch. You’ll welcome customers in-branch, on the phone and online, handling queries and everyday transactions with care and fairness. The role is part-time (21 hours/week) with pro rata salary and a focus on helping customers access our digital tools.

You’ll join a supportive team in a local community bank on the high street, with training, benefits and a culture that values inclusive service and a positive customer experience.

Qualifications

• Experience or interest in customer service environments.
• Ability to communicate clearly with customers in person, over the phone and online.
• Comfortable using digital tools and branch technology.

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers into the branch and understand their needs.
• Handle transactions and queries accurately while prioritising security and fairness.
• Guide customers to suitable banking products and services.
• Collaborate with colleagues to maintain excellent service during busy times.
• Follow processes and escalate concerns to protect customers and Nationwide.
• Keep banking meaningful and accessible on the high street through face-to-face interaction.
