Job summary

Americold in Spalding is recruiting for a Forklift Operative to join our temperature-controlled warehouse. You will perform a mix of general operative and forklift duties, loading and unloading trucks, transferring pallets, and handling goods with a WMS handheld scanner.

The role supports packing and preparation for distribution while adhering to SOPs, HACCP standards, and high health and safety expectations in a busy warehouse environment.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
• Ability to work well in a team and communicate effectively.
• Good attention to detail and ability to stay calm under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Loading and unloading trucks.
• Transferring pallets to designated storage areas.
• Operating within the warehouse to maintain product integrity.
• Receiving and dispatching pallets using WMS with handheld scanners.
• Following SOPs and HACCP food safety standards.
• Carrying out general warehouse duties including manual handling.
• Assisting packing and preparation for distribution.
• Maintaining health and safety standards at all times.
