Job summary

Orion Electrotech in Birmingham is seeking a results-driven Sales Executive to manage customer accounts from our Birmingham facility. The role combines account management with active new business development, working with production to meet delivery schedules and delivering quotes and contracts.

You will prospect, negotiate, and build lasting relationships, coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure on-time delivery and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Proven track record in sales roles such as Sales Executive, internal sales, or account management.
• Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
• Apprentice-trained with engineering qualification.
• Proficiency with MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Manage customer accounts through direct contact and build relationships.
• Coordinate with production to meet delivery schedules.
• Generate new business through marketing, emails, cold calling, and visits.
• Prepare quotes and documentation for promotions.
• Achieve sales targets and maximise revenue.
• Provide account management to protect and expand existing accounts.
• Liaise between customers and internal teams to meet KPIs.
• Expedite orders and support other sales team members.
