Job summary

Orion Electrotech is seeking a Business Development Manager to drive growth for a technically minded manufacturing and technology business. You will manage key accounts, secure new opportunities, and lead projects from concept to production in a globally oriented environment.

You will work closely with engineering, manufacturing and commercial teams, leveraging CRM tools and MS Office. Travel within the UK and overseas is required as part of expanding international markets.

Qualifications

• Experience in business development, technical sales or account management.
• Strong understanding of engineering or manufacturing processes.
• Excellent relationship-building and stakeholder management.
• Proactive, commercially aware and self-starting.
• Strong organisational and project coordination abilities.
• Experience using CRM systems and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Manage and grow existing customer accounts to generate repeat business.
• Identify and secure new commercial opportunities across sectors.
• Lead customer projects through the delivery lifecycle to successful outcomes.
• Coordinate project execution with design, purchasing, finance and sales teams.
• Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify growth opportunities.
• Develop data-driven business development strategies and sales plans.
• Attend industry events, trade shows and customer meetings in the UK and internationally.
• Produce regular business performance and pipeline reports for senior leadership.
