Job summary

Sue Ryder Care Maidstone is seeking a Shop Supervisor for its Bike upcycling workshop. You will lead the team, perform bicycle repairs, manage stock and EPOS, and drive community donations and shop sales while delivering excellent customer service in a welcoming environment.

The role offers part-time hours (15 per week) with weekend rota, £12.79 per hour, and benefits in a community-focused charity shop. Based in Maidstone, this on-site position supports sustainable cycling initiatives.

Qualifications

• Provide excellent customer service and bike care advice.
• Carrying out repairs, servicing and builds for bicycles.
• Managing stock and EPOS processes to keep shop fresh.

Responsibilities

• Carry out repairs, servicing and builds for all bicycle types.
• Ensure repairs are high quality.
• Keep workshop clean, organized and stocked with tools and parts.
• Provide excellent customer service and bike care advice.
• Use skills and retail experience to drive sales and meet targets.
• Support and motivate the team to deliver great service.
• Build community relationships to generate donated stock.
• Help recruit, train and retain volunteers.
• Maintain merchandising, housekeeping and health & safety standards.
• Manage stock and EPOS to keep shop presentable.
• Champion Sue Ryder brand in-store campaigns and fundraising.
