Are you passionate about supporting young people to achieve their full potential?

We’re looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Behaviour Mentor to join our supportive secondary school team in Manchester.

In this vital role, you’ll work closely with students to help them develop positive behaviours, improve engagement with learning, and build confidence both inside and outside the classroom. You’ll be part of a committed pastoral and inclusion team, making a real difference in the lives of young people every day.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support students in managing their behaviour and developing positive relationships.
  • Provide 1 : 1 and small group mentoring sessions focused on social, emotional, and behavioural development.
  • Work alongside teachers and pastoral staff to promote a calm, safe, and inclusive school environment.
  • Monitor student progress and contribute to behaviour intervention plans.
  • Help create strategies to reduce exclusions and improve attendance.
About You
  • Passionate about making a difference in young people’s lives.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and rapport.
  • Resilient, empathetic, and able to remain calm under pressure.
  • Previous experience in a school or youth work setting is desirable but not essential.
  • Psychology graduates and those with backgrounds in youth work, counselling, or social care are warmly encouraged to apply.
