De Vere's Grand Hotel Birmingham is seeking an enthusiastic restaurant team member to join our Isaacs brasserie and Grand Bar operations. You will deliver warm hospitality across breakfast to dinner service, building rapport with guests and supporting the bar, kitchen, hosts and wider team.

We are offering flexible hours to suit your availability – shift patterns range through evenings and weekends from: 11:30 – 18:30 / 17:00 – 23:30 / 18:00 – 01:00.

What the role will involve

• Promote an always welcome and professional image to the guest, and give full co-operation to any guest requiring assistance, forging great relationships


• To be knowledgeable on the menus, being able to answer any questions, and make recommendations


• To follow all steps of service, ensuring the focus remains guest-centric


• Work closely with the bar, kitchen, hosts and wider hotel staff to ensure best possible service


• To build a rapport with all guests in assigned section and use this to maximise sales opportunities


• Be flexible to jump into any roll within the restaurant when needed


• Due to the nature of the work, the ideal candidate would be fully flexible in their approach to work and be able to work shift patterns through weekdays and weekends
