Job summary

The Grand Hotel Birmingham is seeking a Breakfast Assistant to deliver warm, friendly service and help guests start their day with sunshine. Shifts are flexible and include early mornings (06:00-11:30, 07:00-12:00, 07:00-15:00). You will contribute to a welcoming guest journey and have opportunities to learn and grow within a vibrant hotel team.

This role offers £12.71 per hour plus service charges and gratuities, with various staff benefits, discounts, meals and career development opportunities.

• Build a rapport with all guests in assigned section and use this to maximise sales opportunities

The breakfast team is responsible for making sure our guests day gets off to the best possible start.

As a Breakfast Assistant you'll bring your personality and flair to provide a warm, friendly and generous service to our guests. The guest journey is paramount, so you'll know how to deliver fantastic experiences for our guests, time and time again.

We are offering flexible hours to suit your availability - typical shifts range from: 06:00 - 11:30 / 07:00 - 12:00 / 07:00 - 15:00

What the role will involve

What you can bring to the role

• Warm and genuine nature, someone who can make people feel at ease
• To be able to confidently, clearly and politely pass information to all guests
• Promote a positive attitude and display the ability to 'make things happen' to achieve or exceed anticipated results
• Highly customer-service oriented
• Due to the nature of the work, the ideal candidate would be fully flexible in their approach to work and be able to work shift patterns through weekdays and weekends
• Previous experience not essential, but must be willing to learn and apply oneself to the role
