Job summary

Great Scotland Yard Hotel, part of The Unbound Collection by Hyatt, seeks a Barback with flexible hours. You will support bartenders, restock supplies, and maintain bar cleanliness to ensure smooth service. Flexi hours and shifts ranging up to 40 hours per week provide opportunities to earn and develop new skills.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a similar role within the premium hospitality segment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support bartenders during service, helping to deliver efficient and seamless guest experiences.
• Restock spirits, mixers, glassware, ice and other bar supplies throughout shifts.
• Prepare garnishes, refill ice bins and maintain bar mise en place to support smooth operations.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, organisation and hygiene across all bar and back-of-house areas.
• Assist with stock deliveries, storage and inventory management, ensuring products are rotated and stored correctly.
• Wash, polish and replenish glassware to ensure adequate supplies are available during service.
• Monitor stock levels and communicate replenishment requirements to the bar team.
• Support with basic drink preparation and ingredient retrieval during busy service periods.
• Manage waste and recycling, keeping workspaces, storage areas and service stations safe and tidy.
• Work collaboratively with bartenders and colleagues to uphold excellent service standards and create memorable guest experiences.
