Job summary

Soho House in London is seeking a Barback to support the bar team and ensure guests have a superior experience. You will deliver drinks from the bar to members' tables and act as a bridge between the bar and floor.

You will work with the team on stocking, polishing glassware, restocking ingredients, and keeping service areas clean while supporting bartenders during busy periods. Flexible shifts including weekends are expected.

Qualifications

• 2 - 3 years’ experience in similar capacity.
• Basic understanding of bar operations, hygiene standards, and stock rotation.
• Hospitable, approachable, passionate about customer service and respectful towards colleagues and guests.
• Able to demonstrate competency as outlined in the training schedule and Club School.
• Able to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Able to take direction, work in a team environment and autonomously.

Responsibilities

• Bring drinks quickly from the bar to its respective location in the restaurants and deliver to members.
• Maintain a spotless, pristine work environment.
• Provide service to and be accountable for an assigned section.
• Develop relationships with members to provide personalized service.
• Polish glassware to ensure readiness for service.
• Assist bartenders during service by restocking ingredients, running drinks, and retrieving supplies.
• Perform opening and closing procedures including set up and break down of stations.
• Ensure all service equipment is handled carefully and stored correctly.
• Attend meetings with front and back of house teams to learn menu changes and tastings.
