Job summary

Soho House in London is seeking a Barback to support the bar team and ensure members and guests receive fast, high-quality service. You’ll help bartenders by delivering drinks from the bar to tables and by restocking and communicating needs across the floor.

You will maintain a spotless work environment, attend meetings, and develop relationships with members to personalise service. The role requires 2–3 years of similar experience, a friendly disposition, and the ability to work flexible shifts

Qualifications

• 2-3 years’ experience in similar capacity.
• Basic understanding of bar operations, hygiene standards, and stock rotation.
• Hospitable, approachable, passionate about customer service.
• Must be able to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Bring drinks quickly from the bar to its respective location in the restaurants and deliver to members.
• Maintain a spotless, pristine work environment.
• Provide service to and be accountable for an assigned section.
• Develop relationships with members to provide personalized service.
• Polish glassware ensuring they are ready for service.
• Assist bartenders during service by restocking ingredients, running drinks, and retrieving supplies from storage or cellar.
• Perform opening and closing procedures including setup and break down of stations.
• Ensure all service equipment is handled carefully and stored correctly.
• Attend regular meetings with front and back of house teams to learn about menu changes and tastings.
