Job summary

Soho House is seeking a Barback to support the bar team and ensure a smooth, high-quality service for members and guests. You will help bartenders by delivering drinks from the bar to tables and act as a bridge between the bar and floor to maintain a superior guest experience.

With 2–3 years in a similar role, you will work with a hospitable and team-focused mindset, handling responsibilities from restocking to ensuring clean glassware and stations during busy shifts.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years’ experience in similar capacity.
• Basic understanding of bar operations, hygiene standards, and stock rotation.
• Hospitable, approachable and passionate about customer service.

Responsibilities

• Bring drinks quickly from the bar to its respective location in the restaurants and deliver to members.
• Maintain a spotless, pristine work environment.
• Provides service to and is accountable for an assigned section.
• Develop relationships with members to provide personalized service.
• Polishing glassware to ensure readiness for service.
• Assist bartenders during service by restocking ingredients, running drinks, and retrieving supplies from storage or cellar.
• Perform opening and closing procedures including set up and breakdown of stations.
• Ensure all service equipment is handled carefully and stored correctly.
• Attend regular meetings with front and back of house teams to learn menu changes and daily tastings.
