Job summary

Soho House & Co is seeking a Barback to support the bar team and ensure bartenders have what they need to deliver fast, high-quality service to our members and guests.

Your duties include delivering drinks from the bar to members, maintaining a pristine work area, and assisting with stock and opening/closing procedures. You’ll build relationships with members and help ensure a superior experience.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years’ experience in a similar capacity.
• Basic understanding of bar operations, hygiene standards and stock rotation.
• Must be hospitable, approachable and passionate about customer service.
• Ability to take direction and work in a team or autonomously.

Responsibilities

• Bring drinks quickly from the bar to its location and deliver to members.
• Maintain a spotless, pristine work environment.
• Provide service to and be accountable for an assigned section.
• Develop relationships with members for personalized service.
• Polish glassware and ensure items are ready for service.
• Assist bartenders during service by restocking ingredients and retrieving supplies.
• Perform opening and closing procedures for stations.
• Handle service equipment carefully and store correctly.
• Attend regular meetings with front and back of house teams and learn menu changes.
